Chicago Children's Center for Behavioral Health

Chicago Children’s Center for Behavioral Health

The Chicago Children’s Center for Behavioral Health provides no-cost assessments and referrals for children and adolescents ages 3-17, along with their families.  We also provide inpatient services for children and teens at Presence Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center at the Saint Elizabeth campus. Common reasons for an evaluation are:

  • Prolonged sadness, anxiety or depression
  • Suicidal thoughts, plan or attempt
  • Uncontrollable anger or aggression
  • Confused thoughts, hearing voices
  • Difficulty coping with past trauma

The staff at Chicago Children’s Center for Behavioral Health is a compassionate and dedicated team of behavioral health professionals, and includes physicians, nurses, counselors, therapists, teachers, and support staff. We partner with agencies throughout the Chicago area and Illinois to ensure continuity of care for the children and adolescents we assess and treat.

It is our mission to take care of children and adolescents with behavioral health needs with an understanding that each child has a unique condition and set of circumstances. We listen closely to the child, the family and the support people involved in their lives to determine the unique needs of each patient. And we work closely with families and the child’s community to guide and nurture enduring healing and compassionate care.
