Franciscan Health Rensselaer

The Franciscan Health Rensselaer Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, providing prompt, efficient emergency medical services to anyone in need of care.  The Emergency Department is staffed with a trained emergency care team including physicians, nursing personnel, EMT's, technicians, registration clerks, chaplains, social workers and a variety of other hospital support services personnel.

Rensselaer has all the charm of small-town living, with the conveniences of a larger city and just an hour from the Chicagoland area.     As the Jasper County seat, Rensselaer boasts a beautiful historic courthouse at the center of the town. The courthouse, which was built in 1898, is surrounded by quaint shops and restaurants.

In the warmer months, the courthouse grounds are the site of the semi-weekly farmers market.  Rensselaer is home to the annual Jasper County Fair, has two movie theaters, a bowling alley, a town pool and several parks. Sports fans can watch exciting college games at St. Joseph College or take in a high school game.

Rensselaer not only offers many shopping, dining and entertainment options, but the town has beautiful and historic architectural features as well, from the downtown storefronts to the neighboring homes. There is plenty to experience in this charming town.
