Gwinnett County is a suburban county of Atlanta in the north central portion of the U.S. state of Georgia. In 2020, the population was estimated to be 942,627, making it the second-most populous county in Georgia. The county is named for Button Gwinnett, one of the signatories of the Declaration of Independence. As Atlanta boomed, the sleepy suburbs came alive during the 1980s. Gwinnett repeatedly ranked first among the fastest growing counties in the United States. Lawrenceville's original town square remains the heart of downtown and Gwinnett County is prized for its access to bustling city life, booming communities, a nationally recognized school system and gorgeously maintained natural spaces. Only 30 minutes away from Downtown Atlanta.
