H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital is a Critical Access Hospital affiliated with the Rush Health System in Meridian, MS.They are a 25-bed acute care facility that provides a wide range of inpatient, outpatient, and emergency services. There is a clinic on site with Family Practice Physicians.The hospitalists also act as hospital physicians, which means they can admit and care for patients who do not have a physician who regularly admits patients at the hospital.
Skilled nursing and rehabilitative care are available also with Watkins' Swing Bed Program.Those recovering from surgery, a stroke, a fracture or extended medical illness and hospitalization can choose to rehab at H.C.
