Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center houses the vast majority of Hillcrest health care services such as Emergency, Labor & Delivery, and Medical/Surgical services. HBMC has been verified by the American College of Surgeons ( ACS ) as meeting the criteria for a Level II Trauma Center. The Texas Department of Health has also designated Hillcrest as a Major (Level II) Trauma Facility--one of only nine in the state of Texas . Hillcrest works together with emergency medical service providers, physicians, specialists and area hospitals to provide a full continuum of trauma resources to Central Texans.
