Lake Delton Clinic Logo The Lake Delton area is made up of two communities, the City of Wisconsin Dells and the Village of Lake Delton. Wisconsin Dells has 2,498 year-round residents, while Lake Delton is home to 1,470. The area encompasses 18.2 square miles. Lake Delton is situated in Wisconsin’s Heartland, in the middle of the southern half of Wisconsin. It’s about 115 miles west of Milwaukee and about 50 miles north of Madison.

The School District of Wisconsin Dells includes an area of approximately 186 square miles, and comprises the counties of: Columbia, Sauk, Juneau, Adams and Marquette. All or part of the following municipalities are in the district: City of Wisconsin Dells; Village of Lake Delton; and Towns of Newport and Lewiston, Delton, Dellona, Lyndon, Dell Prairie, Springville, Jackson, New Haven and Douglas.

The school district serves a student population of more than 1,700 students with approximately 500 high school students, 800 elementary public school students, and 400 middle school students.

The local hospital is St. Clare Hospital and Health Services which is a 100-bed facility with 24 hour ER coverage. The hospital's primary service area includes the communities of Baraboo and Wisconsin Dells, with a population of about 30,000. Also on our campus is the St. Clare Hospital/Tommy Bartlett Child Care Center for employees' and physicians' children.

The surgical area at St. Clare Hospital has 3 operating rooms, 1 endoscopy room, 1 urology room and 3 CRNAs on staff. Block scheduling is done for each physician. There is a radiologist on site from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday and on-call on weekends. MRI services are provided every Wednesday and also on Mondays if needed. A CT scanner is based at the hospital.

St. Clare Hospital and Health Services has a very busy ambulatory services business with approximately 45 specialists seeing 9,000 patients per year. The majority of these specialists are associated with Dean Medical Center located in Madison, one of the top 10 multi-specialty group practices in the country.
