Schuylkill Health

Schuylkill Health is a multi-location health system that was originally founded in 1893 as Pottsville Hospital.­ Today this award-winning health system has grown and continues to serve the needs of Schuylkill County and surrounding communities, with the city of Pottsville remaining its main hub for its services. The health system includes two acute care community hospitals and a surgery center: Schuylkill Medical Center East Norwegian Street, a 126-bed facility, ­­Schuylkill Medical Center South Jackson Street, a 179-bed facility, and Schuylkill Medical Center-Outpatient Surgery Center. All three facilities are accredited by the Joint Commission.
