Methodist South Hospital serves the citizens of South Memphis and surrounding communities. This acute care hospital includes a maternity center, a cancer center, a critical care unit, a same-day surgery unit and a complete array of outpatient services. The 156-bed Methodist South Hospital also offers state-of-the-art cardiac services, including cardiac catheterization and open-heart surgery.

Since opening its doors in 1973 as the first acute care satellite hospital in the Memphis area, Methodist South Hospital has continued to grow along with the South Memphis and North Mississippi communities that it serves.

Methodist South is defined by its dedication to patient care, compassion for the patient’s family and its commitment to customer service. A 156-bed facility with a 24-hour Level II Emergency Department with 15 treatment rooms equipped to evaluate and treat urgent situations, Methodist South also features a Minor Care Clinic, located within its Emergency Room, conveniently open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week. Certified by Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center as part of the Pediatric Emergency Network to treat children's emergencies, Methodist South is also equipped to treat trauma cases, cardiac, orthopaedic, gynecological, ear/nose/throat and other emergencies.

Methodist South also includes a cancer care center that provides inpatient and outpatient chemotherapy, a critical care unit, dialysis unit, a same day surgery unit and cardiac services, including cardiac surgery.

Maternity Center
Our Maternity Center was designed with the entire family in mind. The labor, delivery and recovery suites (LDRs) combine the comfort of home-like amenities with the sophistication and safety of the hospital. From the very beginning of your pregnancy, you can relax knowing that you and your baby will receive quality care in a comfortable environment. Methodist South was one of a very select group of hospitals in the nation awarded with the distinguished Premier Award for Quality for Excellence in Obstetrics. The latest technology and highly trained doctors and nurses are at hand, and a fully equipped Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit provides care for premature or sick infants. Methodist Diagnostic Center - South
Methodist South's commitment to quality diagnostic imaging and cath lab services resulted in an easily accessible two-suite expansion. This addition features comfortable and pleasant facilities for MRI and cath lab patients. It also includes a dedicated recovery area and nurses station.
