Established in 1965, Morton Plant North Bay Hospital is West Pasco County’s only not-for-profit community hospital. The hospital’s 358 physicians and almost 500 employees are dedicated to improving the health of its patients through community-owned health services that set the standard for high quality and compassionate care.

With 122 beds, Morton Plant North Bay is an acute care hospital that is operated by Morton Plant Hospital Association, Inc., a non-for-profit corporation that also operates Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater. Morton Plant North Bay is also part of BayCare Health System.

Specialty Areas Streamline Treatment Process

The 5,060-square foot Emergency Department includes dedicated areas for specialized treatment of various conditions:

  • Triage Area: Here, we assess patient needs and providing immediate intervention upon patient arrival.
  • Pediatric Treatment Room: We provide the closest pediatric emergency care for Pasco County residents. The center is colorful, child-friendly and equipped to assist specially trained medical staff in addressing the unique issues associated with children’s injuries and illnesses.
  • 10 Major Examination Rooms: These rooms are equipped to treat critically ill and injured patients.
  • 5 Minor Examination Rooms: Special areas devoted to treating patients with minor medical emergencies.
