Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) is a not-for-profit community health system dedicated to improving the health and quality of life of the people of Northeast Georgia. Through the services of a medical staff of more than 1300 physicians, the residents of Northeast Georgia enjoy access to the state's finest and most comprehensive medical services.

The Health System offers a full range of healthcare services through its Det Norske Veritas (DNV) accredited hospitals in Gainesville and Brasleton.Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) is Georgia’s #1 Hospital  and it is also in the top ten in the nation according to a recent study by CareChex, an independent healthcare quality rating service. NGMC has been named "One of the 10 Best Places to Work in Georgia” according to an article in Georgia Trend magazine and NGHS has been named one of "Metro Atlanta’s Top 100 Workplaces" by the Atlanta Journal Constitution (AJC). NGHS also has hospitals in Barrow, Lumkin and Habersham counties.
