Oak Plains Academy

Oak Plains Academy is a 90 bed Residential Treatment Center located in a lovely rural setting affording a quiet atmosphere.  The facility is situated in a unique geographic position just 45 min north west of Nashville, TN on the border of Kentucky.  The facility offers psychiatric residential treatment services to children and adolescents who are struggling with emotional and behavioral issues.

The clinical programs at Oak Plains Academy have been designed to address the needs of Children and adolescents with a primary psychiatric diagnosis.  The therapeutic milieu is established through a Positive Reinforcement System which allows each resident to earn special privileges and provides the opportunity to enhance self esteem through personal achievement.  Educational services are offered to meet the learning needs of each resident, offering small classrooms and one-on – one instruction.  A professional team of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, therapists, nurses and teachers work closely with each resident to assist them to achieve their therapeutic and educational goals.
