Created in 1972, we are a unique program where the excellence of a world-class medical center meets the friendliness of a community hospital. More than just "practicing" medicine, we feel called to make a difference as we strive to meet the needs of our patients with compassion and endeavor to care for the whole person, and for the patient's family, as well.

As part of the not-for-profit Memorial Hermann Healthcare System (recently identified as one of the top 100 hospitals in the country), our residency program combines the best of community-based healthcare with the finest in graduate medical education. We are the only residency program sponsored by Memorial Hermann Hospital System, so our residents benefit from training in an unopposed program.
