Avera Platte Memorial Medical Center, a member of Avera Health, sponsored by the Benedictine & Presentation Sisters, consists of over 100 medical facilities in SD, ND, IA, NE and MN dedicated to providing comprehensive health care to Mitchell, SD and an eleven-county area. Avera Queen of Peace Hospital, a regional medical facility located in Mitchell, is equipped with the region's most advanced medical technology. Our 750 employees and over 150 volunteers assist our medical staff in serving the health care needs of our community- our neighbors and friends- with the dedication and compassion that comes with Christian caring.
