East Stroudsburg is in the gateway to the Pocono Mountains at the southern end of Delaware Water Gap National Park. Some of the recreational resources offered in this region include golf, boating, nature trails, skiing and all winter sports, fishing, canoeing/rafting, camping, dirt and mountain biking and paint ball. Other area attractions include historic sites, fairs and festivals, museums, many state and national parks, zoos and animal parks. It is an outdoor enthusiast's paradise and only a short drive to New York City and a two-hour drive to Philadelphia.
