Providence Hospital Downtown

Providence Hospital's main campus is located in the heart of downtown Columbia. The 247-bed hospital was founded in 1938 by the Sisters of Charity of Saint Augustine to minister to the community, in both body and spirit. The facility is best known for the expertise in cardiac care it provides through Providence Heart & Vascular Institute, which serves as a nationally-recognized referral center for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. The campus is the home to many services under the Providence umbrella, including cardiac rehab, outpatient surgery and a new surgical practice.
