Prowers Medical Center

Prowers Medical Center is a 40-bed acute care hospital.  The level 4 trauma ED handles approximately 9,000 visits annually and transfers to Pueblo, Colorado Springs and Denver.  The hospital has Ultrasound, CT Scanner and full lab on-site, as well as a PAX digital imaging system for Radiology and 24-hour teleradiology access.  There is local back up for OB/GYN, Pediatrics, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, and Radiology. 

Shifts are 12-36 hours. Part-time positions available, weekdays and weekends.

Qualifications:  BC/BE Emergency Medicine and Primary Care physicians; ATLS, ACLS, and PALS required. Physicians must acquire 30 hours of trauma CMEs every three years as this is a Colorado state requirement.
