-Fargo -- Fargo is located at the crossroads of Interstate Highways I29 and I94 on the eastern border of North Dakota and western border of Minnesota. The metro area of Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo is a progressive, university community of nearly 200,000. The community, home to two universities and a private college, offers excellent education systems, a variety of cultural events and a host of recreational activities and entertainment venues. -Jamestown -- Jamestown, North Dakota is a progressive community with much to offer including excellent public and parochial school systems, community college, and wonderful parks including two golf courses. Outdoor recreation on the Jamestown Reservoir area features boating, hunting and fishing, canoeing and camping.
-Mayville -- Mayville, North Dakota located just 45 minutes northwest of Fargo, North Dakota, has much to offer including beautiful parks and access to some of the best hunting and fishing in North Dakota. Mayville was recognized along with nearby Cooperstown, ND as 'Co-City of the Year' by the North Dakota League of Cities at its annual conference in 2008. Mayville-Portland, home to a population of approximately 2600, also features Mayville State University, a four-year liberal arts college with 750 students, boasts over 200 businesses, a performing arts facility, an art gallery and museum. -Oakes -- Oakes, North Dakota, located less than 20 miles from the border of North and South Dakota, is the hub of southeastern North Dakota.  It’s a great community to live in, raise a family and work. Primarily agricultural, Oakes boasts a large industrial sector and a progressive main street. Oakes is a farming/ranching community with production of corn and soybeans being the main crops. -Valley City - Built on the Sheyenne River, Valley City is home to eight historic bridges, giving the city a look and feel like no other in North Dakota. Located one hour from Fargo, ND and five hours from Minneapolis, MN, Valley City is a thriving community with many recreational activities, beautiful scenic surroundings, including Lake Ashtabula and a nationally recognized university. For eight consecutive years Valley City State University has been named one of the top five public comprehensive colleges in the Midwest by U.S. News & World Report.
-Wahpeton -- Wahpeton, ND, with a population of 8,600 is the seat of Richland County ND and its sister city Breckenridge, MN with a population 3,600 is the seat of Wilkin County MN.Just45 miles directly south of Fargo these border cities are located at the headwaters of the Red River of the North which divides the communities and creates the state boundary between North Dakota and Minnesota. Primarily a farming community, the area’s business community continues to grow and prosper with a number of manufacturing and agricultural related companies including Wil-Rich, Woodcraft Industries, Inc, Cargill, Com-Del Innovation, WCCO Belting, and Minn-Dak Farmers Cooperative. Wahpeton offers an excellent public school district and is home to the nationally known North Dakota State College of Science. The community Wahpeton-Breckenridge is a great place to visit and a great place to live. Wahpeton’s Chahinkapa Zoo features the unique Prairie Rose Carousel. If it’s golf you choose, the Bois de Sioux Golf Course spans two states to add further flavor to an already welcoming community. Other activities include camping, swimming, and fishing at nearby Kidder Dam, exploring nearby Fort Abercrombie or enjoying a day on one of the beautiful Minnesota lakes located less than an hour away.
