In 2011, Valdosta was named one of America’s Friendliest Cities and was ranked 24th out of 363 metropolitan Statistical Areas across the country in regard to the health and vitally of locally-owned businesses.  This small city has a population is over 55,000 and over 110,000 in the county.

The Valdosta High School Wildcat football team, which has won more games than any other high school in the nation, has given rise to the city's nickname—“Winnersville."  Who wouldn't want to live in WINNERSVILLE!
