Founded in 1905, St. Francis is an 410-bed,acute-care hospital providing primary, secondary and tertiary levels of care.  St. Francis offers a comprehensive range of medical, surgical, pediatric and obstetrical care and serves as a major treatment site for cardiac care.  For the fifth year in a row, St. Francis Hospital & Health Center was ranked among the 100 best cardiovascular hospitals in the nation.  In 2003, the hospital underwent a $34M expansion to include 60,000 sq. ft. of new space with comprehensive imaging and diagnostic services, outpatient surger services, a women's wellness center and an expanded emergency department.
