Starr County Memorial Hospital

Rio Grande City is a port of entry with an international bridge between U.S. and Mexico; it is the seat of Starr County. Starr County Memorial District operates Starr County Memorial Hospital (SCMH) located at 2573 Hospital Court, Rio Grande City, Texas. SCMH is a progressive, acute-care general medical center offering medical, surgical, obstetric and pediatric services. Established in 1975, SCMH is licensed by the State of Texas and accredited by CMS.  It is a member of the Texas Hospital Association, American Hospital Association, and the Texas Organization of Rural and Community Hospitals.
