The Pavillion at Northwest Texas Healthcare System

The Pavilion is a 90-bed private behavioral health hospital part of the larger Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo. We are the only behavioral health hospital in an approximate 250 mile radius of Amarillo serving child, adolescent, adult and older adult patients from Texas and those traveling from Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Colorado. We offer services for general psychiatric and substance abuse issues as well as specialized services for active and veteran military personnel.

Amarillo has four distinct seasons, although they only average 14 inches of snowfall a year. All faiths are represented in the community. The public schools are excellent and parochial and private schools are available. The city has many cultural activities, which include the Amarillo Symphony and Opera, the Lone Star Ballet, and several theater groups. Recreational activities are plentiful. Amarillo is located in north Texas and is about five hours from Albuquerque, six hours from Denver and an hours' flight to Dallas. The Pavilion is owned and operated by a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS).
