HealthEast Care System is the leading health care provider in the Twin Cities' East Metro area with 14 clinics, home care, a medical transportation center, and four hospitals — Bethesda Hospital, St. John’s Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital, and Woodwinds Health Campus. With a population nearing 300,000, St. Paul is the capital and second-most populous city in MN.  Located less than 8 miles from the Minneapolis-St. Paul airport near the confluence of the Mississippi and Minnesota Rivers, St. Paul boasts a healthy downtown core that houses plenty of activity both day and night.  The area's housing showcases the history of early St. Paul, including nationally recognized brownstone row houses and ivy-covered Victorian homes inter-twined with new, modern housing options.  Higher education institutions within St. Paul include 3 public and 8 private colleges and universities and 5 post-secondary institutions.  St. Paul is proud home of the MN Wild, St. Paul Saints, the Science Museum of MN, and the Ordway Center.  The METRO light rail line connects the suburbs to both St. Paul and Minneapolis providing easy opportunity to take in events within both beautiful cities. 

Behavioral Health Services at HealthEast are located on the St. Joseph’s Hospital campus in St. Paul.   Behavioral Health currently operates 78 beds, expanding to 105 beds with an anticipated completion June 2017.  This expansion will support Joseph's Hospital to better serve the community behavioral health needs.

Programs are designed to treat adult and older adult patients with diverse psychiatric and substance use treatment issues. Programs operate on a multidisciplinary treatment team model and the care and work environment is collegial with quality patient care the end goal in all services. A fully integrated electronic medical record (Epic) is utilized for all services. Behavioral Health Services at HealthEast are managed by UHS (Universal Health Services) Integrated Services.
