University Medical Center

Other services include: Orthopaedics, ENT, General Surgery, Infectious Disease and OB/Gyn.
Since the closure of various hospitals in New Orleans, the hospital has acquired the services of a transplant surgeon. The LSU interventional cardiology department also relocated to UMC. At the present time, the only interventional cardiology services in the HCSD hospitals are performed here. As a result, UMC has become a referral center for the other hospitals in the system.
