Wellstar Health System comprises Georgia’s largest non-profit health system.  Wellstar offers Full-service, Pediatric Emergency Care at Cobb, Kennestone, Douglas, and Paulding Hospitals. Each of the locations is located adjacent to the Main Emergency Department in each hospital. Wellstar enjoys treating ages newborns and up. The system's commitment to pediatric excellence and service can be seen not only in their emergency department facilities but also via the Kennestone Pediatric Unit, a 12-bed inpatient pediatric unit at Kennestone, and through subspecialty care from ENT, pediatric cardiology, pediatric urology, pediatric orthopedics, and pediatric GI. The emergency departments provide a broad range of services, including but not limited to minor illness and injury, lacerations and suturing, I&D, fracture care and splinting, major medical illness and care, resuscitation, and stabilization of critically ill children.

Pediatric Emergency Medicine Associates (PEMA) is a private practice group of pediatric emergency medicine and pediatric trained physicians working in busy urban and suburban pediatric emergency departments with a combined 220,000 patient visits each year.  PEMA contains a wonderful group of people dedicated to providing quality medical care to children while continually developing and fostering a practice model conducive to the long-term health and happiness of its members.  This model encourages expression and ingenuity from our physicians in a collegial, supportive, and stimulating environment in the hope that this will allow each of us to realize both professional and personal fulfillment.
