Advanced Practitioner Opportunity – Gainesville, GA

Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) is currently recruiting a Trauma & Acute Care PA or AGACNP, to join our growing Trauma & Acute Care Surgery (TACS) service line.  This opportunity is located at Northeast Georgia Medical Center – Gainesville, a verified adult ACS-COT Level I trauma center. 

Opportunity Details:

• NGMC-Gainesville is a 557-bed multi-state regional referral center.

• Join 6 double-boarded trauma/acute-care surgeons and 11 APPs

• 24-hour in-house APP coverage model. Day and Night shifts with weekend rotation
• Clinical work includes ICU, Floors and ER.
• 16-bed surgical/trauma ICU with daily multi-disciplinary rounds.
• 32-bed dedicated unit for all TACS service line patients.
• NGHS has over 170,000 ED visits annually. 119,000 at Gainesville
• Annual TQIP trauma registry patient volume is currently 2800+.
• Acute Care Surgery case volume is 2200+ annually.
• ACGME accredited General Surgery Residency program.

Requirements:

• AGACNP or PA – Certified.
• Critical Care or ER  experience a plus.
• Team player mentality with a growth mindset.
• Participate in outreach to our many rural referring hospitals as well as to our EMS providers.
• Rotating schedule of day shift, night shift, and weekends
