Baystate is one of only 44 nationally grant funded Geriatric Education Centers through HRSA’s Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program. Our faculty members teach annually at national meetings (such as the American Geriatrics Society) and have received multiple grants and leadership awards in recent years. BH clearly recognizes the value of geriatrics and has identified geriatrics and palliative care as an area of strategic focus for its coming 3 year plan. An Acute Care for Elders project at BH won the health system’s quality award last year further increasing support for the mission of the division.
This is your opportunity to join an organization focused on the future of medicine — one whose physicians and advanced practitioners partner with their patients to ensure a higher state of care and better outcomes. At Baystate Health you’ll experience a deeper sense of compassion, greater breadth of diversity and a never-ending desire to raise the standard of medical excellence, regionally and nationally.
