Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) and Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (SARMC) have an excellent full time employment opportunity for a Fellowship trained, Board Certified or Board Eligible Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist located in Boise, Idaho.

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician led and accountable 400+ provider multispecialty group practice that has an excellent opportunity for a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. The selected Psychiatrist will provide behavioral health clinical services to include comprehensive evaluation and treatment for emotional and interpersonal problems for adolescents and children. This will include individual and group therapy via integrated treatment teams including psychotherapeutic and psychopharmacologic interventions.

The selected provider is expected to devote 40 hours per week to SAMG Behavioral Health directly seeing outpatients, supervising APPs and being available to staff for questions, problem solving and clinic management. There are currently no call responsibilities and weekend nor holiday services are anticipated unless otherwise negotiated.

Saint Alphonsus is the principal provider of advanced, innovative and interdisciplinary behavioral health services within the region. The ideal candidate will commit to a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care while demonstrating and modeling our organization’s core values of reverence, a commitment to those who are poor, justice, stewardship and integrity. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with SAMG management in the efficient and harmonious functions of the clinic. This is to include the development of evidenced based, cost effective protocols of care for the behavioral health clinic staff and will modify and update treatment protocols as required. The well-qualified candidate will also work with SAMG and Saint Alphonsus Health System (SAHS) leadership in the design and implementation of novel ambulatory behavioral health programs that increase quality and general health status while reducing overall cost of care.

As a member of the medical group, the Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist will assist in maintaining and strengthening the Health System’s behavioral health program across all communities served. The opportunity requires the granting of privileges at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (SARMC) and other hospitals receiving consultative telemedicine services from the Saint Alphonsus behavioral healthcare program.

Requirements for this opportunity include successful completion of an accredited ACGME Psychiatric Residency training program and Board Certification in Psychiatry through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) (or obtain such certification within 3 years of employment/contract start). The Psychiatrist must also possess or be eligible to obtain an unrestricted full license in Idaho to practice medicine in all its phases, a valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Board of Pharmacy and a DEA

The practice currently utilizes Cerner Ambulatory EHR CDWeb, NexGen and eRx, therefore previous experience with EHR systems is preferred.
