Peak Vista Community Health Centers’ (Peak Vista) one of the largest Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) in the nation, located at the base of beautiful Pikes Peak in Colorado Springs, CO (pop. 465,000) seeks a mission driven, innovative, Chief Medical and Dental Officer (CMDO).

The Chief Medical and Dental Officer is a key member of the Executive Team, reporting to the President & CEO, and will be engaged in defining the overall business strategy and direction of the organization. In addition, this position leads and shares the overall clinical vision for the organization. The position provides clinical and dental oversight, expertise and leadership to ensure the delivery of affordable quality health care services through integrated, team based care. Responsibilities also include the strategy, development and implementation of innovative clinical programs that include collaboration with strategic business partners. Manages and directs the organization toward its primary objectives, based on profit and return on capital, by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers. The CMDO also oversees our ACGME and AOA accredited Family Medicine Residency program as well as our Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Primary Care Fellowship accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

 

Candidates must be board certified (in a primary specialty) and Colorado licensed.  Experience required:  ten years of medical practice experience required, including integrated health care, primary care; five years of health care administrative leadership experience, including previous experience as a department head, chief of staff, or medical director.
