With this membership, our healthcare providers have direct access to Mayo Clinic medical expertise, research, and clinical practices.
Diagnose disorders related to the genitourinary organs and connected tissues including common ailments. Prescribe medications to treat infections and other ailments. Required procedural competencies include general diagnostic and therapeutic cystoscopic procedures, ureteral stent management, stone management to include extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy and ureteroscopic laser lithotripsy, total or partial nephrectomy, ureteral/bladder repair surgery, and prostate biopsy. Preferred additional procedural competencies include surgery on the prostate, prostatic brachytherapy, and total or simple cystectomy.
