APP Needed!

UNC Health Care UNC Health Care consists of 13 hospitals and multiple clinics across the state, from the coast to the mountains and are Scientists of Discovery! Artists of Innovation! We are currently recruiting an APP (NP or PA) for Neurosurgery in Goldsboro. The clinic is slightly over an hour east of the Raleigh-Durham area and 90 minutes from the North Carolina coast. The APP would be joining a well-established team with 2 Surgeons, 1 APP, 1 LPN, 1 Scribe, 2 CMAs and front desk staff.

Compensation: Competitive Salary plus incentives

Responsibilities:

Maintain compliance with the Collaborative Practice Agreement, including drugs, medical treatments, tests and procedures that may be prescribed, ordered and performed by the Nurse Practitioner.

Obtain patient histories, performs complete or problem focused exams, and orders diagnostic tests and treatments.

Evaluate findings to formulate an integrated plan of car, and documents care provided in the patient's medical record.

Prescribe appropriate pharmaceutics in compliance with the standards established in the Prescribing Authority by the NCBON. Provider’s guidance and counseling to patients and families.

Participate in quality improvement activities including ongoing review of care provided through regularly scheduled meetings with the supervising physician at least every six months, and annual review of the Collaborative Practice Agreement.

Ensure compliance with established safety and regulatory guidelines, including HIPAA, CLIA, OSHA, and infection prevention policies and procedures.

Demonstrate good customer service skills when interacting with patients, families, and visitors. Demonstrates effective communication skills and team work. 

Qualifications:

    • Graduation from an accredited NP or PA Program
    • North Carolina licensed
    • BLS and ACLS certified

Preferred: One year of Neurosurgery experience.
