Glen Meade OBGYN is the area’s premier choice for women of all ages to receive a personalized patient experience.   As the Wilmington area continues to grow, we seek to add 2 additional OBGYN providers to our team.

Our group of 11 physicians and four Nurse Practitioners is recruiting for 1 additional physician and one APP.   Seven of our physicians participate in deliveries.   We are delivering an average of 90 babies monthly and see an average of 5000 patient visits in our three office locations.  All deliveries and inpatient surgeries are performed at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.  Surgically, eleven of our OBGYN physicians do procedures, two of whom are FPMRS certified.  In office procedures include ablations, Leeps, Essure, IUD insertion, Lumax, colposcopies and urodynamics.  The group is supported by two Maternal Fetal Medicine physicians.

Call is 1 in 8.   Call is for 24 hours with no office responsibilities and can be taken from home.    A typical work week has our physician in the office 3 to 3.5 days per week, 1.0 surgery day and an on call day.   Our physicians see anywhere from 22 to 30 patients per day – this varies greatly due to high volume of established patients with our senior partners.

Our physicians work closely with the OBGYN residency program at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.  We provide resident teaching and also have the OBGYN residents for coverage back-up.

Our ideal candidate is a well trained medical graduate with excellent OBGYN residency training completed within the past 10 years.  New graduates are eligible.   Board certification must be completed within the ACOG guidelines.   Interest in Health Equity and minority health issues is desirable.
