The Tanana Chiefs Conference (TCC) is an Alaska Native non-profit corporation, charged with advancing Tribal self-determination and enhancing regional Native unity. TCC has an extensive rural health care system to support health and promote wellness to Indian Health Service beneficiaries
Tok is well situated for anyone wanting to live a rural Alaskan lifestyle while still staying on the road system for convenient travel. Candidate must be comfortable living in a rural isolated community with limited amenities. Fishing, hunting, aviation, backcountry adventures in the mountains or along the rivers--there is plenty to do if you love the outdoors. The foothills of the Delta Range Mountains are accessible just a short drive out of town & Wrangell-St. Elias National Park is south of Tok. Eagle, Whitehorse, Fairbanks, Anchorage and all points in between are ready to visit and explore.

Tanana Chiefs Conference, the traditional tribal consortium of the 42 villages of Interior Alaska, is based on a belief in tribal self-determination and the need for regional Native unity. The history of the Tanana Chiefs Conference (TCC) reflects the importance of balancing the traditional Native values with the modern demands facing us as indigenous peoples. TCC is a non-profit organization that works toward meeting the health and social service challenges for more than 10,000 Alaska Natives spread across a region of 235,000 square miles in Interior Alaska.
Tanana Chiefs Conference is looking for providers that love the wilderness, hiking, outdoor adventures and are team players with strong clinical skills and the ability to work with humility in a cross-cultural tribal health clinic. We are hiring for a Physician Assistant to live and work in Tok, Alaska.
Systematically assesses patients' health status, arrives at appropriate diagnoses, and implements care plan for effective clinical outcomes. Demonstrates commitment to customers served. Contributes to effective and efficient practice management practices that support patient access to medical care and appropriate use of available resources. Provides leadership for practice and community served.Meets organizational expectations.

The Upper Tanana Health Center is staffed with PA's, RN, Medical Assistant and Health Aide. The patient population draws mainly from the communities of Tok, Tetlin, Northway, Tanacross and Dot Lake.

Due to differences in scope of care, practice, or service across settings, the specific experience required for this position may vary.
