Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS), located in beautiful Central New York, is accepting applications for a Trauma Surgeon to join its team of general surgeons who take call for the trauma program. Currently MVHS is an ACS verified Level III and New York State designated trauma program with the ambition to become a Level II trauma center.
The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate of a trauma-surgical critical care program, board eligible or certified, licensed, or able to become licensed to practice medicine in the state of New York, and committed to providing quality clinical care. Currently, there are three community surgeons providing trauma care. A Trauma Medical Director is also being sought. The practice will entail acute care surgery and critical care.
The trauma program will be supported by Upstate Medical University and an academic appointment is anticipated. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to provide mutually agreeable trauma and critical care services at Upstate.
