Outstanding Neonatology Program Director Opportunity in Florida’s Palm Beach County
Nicklaus Children's Health System and Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists (NCPS), the health system’s physician-led multispecialty group practice, have an exceptional opportunity for a board-certified fellowship-trained neonatologist with at least three years of experience to lead a new Level II NICU located on Florida’s Treasure Coast in Palm Beach County.
This leadership position will be responsible for developing and cultivating a comprehensive perinatal and neonatal program for babies in a new Level II NICU. This role presents a unique and exciting opportunity for a motivated candidate to oversee an expansion into a burgeoning market and reside in one of the most sought-after neighborhoods in Florida. Applicants should possess a passion for advocacy and improving care for all children. The neonatology team is responsible for attending deliveries, providing prenatal consultations to high-risk babies, resuscitating and stabilizing newborns in the delivery room, rounding on well babies, as well as provides leadership, oversight and supervision in the Level II nursery. Candidates should be proficient in newborn resuscitation, including neonatal intubation, umbilical line placement and peripheral cannulation, lumbar punctures and circumcision. The program director will also provide direct quality and safety oversight of the program.
