STG International, Inc. is looking for a Medical Director to oversee 5 outpatient VA clinics in the Loma Linda, CA area.  The clinics serve a patient base of over 20,000 veterans.  The Medical Director will work out of one of the clinics and provide PRN coverage for clinics. He/She may also have the opportunity to function partly as our Headquarter Medical Director and serve in an advisory/supervisory role with our other medical directors in our 13 other CBOCs (Community Based Outpatient Clinics). Preference for leadership experience.

 

 

The general duty of the Medical Director is to direct and coordinate the medical management, quality improvement and credentialing functions in support of the Clinical Operations Program. The Medical Director will provide coverage as needed in the outpatient primary medical services to enrolled patients of the Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Veteran Affairs Primary Care Program. The Medical Director will collaborate with the Program team, Clinical Advisor and Regional Managers as well as Clinic Manager to supervise the Community Based Outpatient Clinic's (CBOC’s) day-to-day delivery of medical care. The proportion of the clinical and administrative time can vary depending upon the needs of the job. This position will provide clinical expertise and mentor-ship within our team, grow collaborative relationships with hospital departments to enhance and inform primary palliative care delivery. He/she will ensure continuous effective operations and participate in the overall Clinical Operations Quality Assurance Surveillance Program. 

 

Minimum Requirements: 

Candidates must have an active, full and unrestricted medical license in California. 

Candidates must be Board certified in Internal Medicine or Family Practice., or board eligible within 4 years of residency completion in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. 

Current and unrestricted DEA. 

Retain current BLS through the AMA or Military Training Network. 

Preference for outpatient primary care experience
