The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC) Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health is seeking two faculty members to work closely with faculty in the OSUWMC Department of Neurology.
The ideal candidates will have expertise in health psychology, rehabilitation psychology, or neuropsychology and be interested in providing evidence-based psychotherapy to patients cared for within OSUWMC’s Neurological Institute. Patients served are typically 18+ and may have a variety of neurologic conditions (e.g., epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, movement disorders, vascular disease, brain tumors). We are interested in candidates that can complement our current strengths – specifically, we seek one individual with expertise in cognitive rehabilitation and one with expertise/interest in working with individuals with functional neurological disorders (e.g., functional movement disorders, psychogenic non-epileptic seizures). Rank for these clinical-track appointments is flexible and dependent on the candidate’s qualifications. Individuals in these positions will have ample opportunities to contribute to professional education of trainees and collaborate with other Department and Neurological Institute faculty in scholarly activities.
Applicants must have a doctorate degree in Psychology from an APA- or CPA-accredited clinical program, and an accredited clinical internship. Candidates must be licensed in Ohio by the time of appointment. Salary and benefits are highly competitive. Early career psychologists are encouraged to apply. Start date is flexible.
The successful candidates will join a 30+ member Section of Psychology, including a team of five Neuropsychologists, with robust training opportunities, including a psychology pre-doctoral internship program. .
