The Lexington Medical Heart and Vascular Center is seeking general cardiologists to join our group. Our team of 18 cardiologists provides general, interventional, structural and EP services. The Lexington Medical Heart and Vascular Center is a multidisciplinary group which includes cardiology, cardio-thoracic surgery, and vascular surgery. The center is employed as part of the Lexington Medical Center Network of Care. We are seeking additional cardiologists that will enhance our ability to provide the highest quality heart and vascular services. As the only Duke affiliated Heart Center in the region, we continue to be a market leader in quality outcomes. Our cardiologists lead an ACC Accredited Chest Pain Center of Excellence and were awarded the Gold Plus Performance Achievement Award from AHA. Our cardiac surgery program is rated 3 stars by the STS and we completed our 500th TAVR this past August.

Lexington Medical Center is a 557-bed hospital which anchors a health care network that includes five community medical centers and employs a staff of more than 6,500 health care professionals. The main campus is located in West Columbia, South Carolina, five miles west of the University of South Carolina and the state capital. The network has cardiovascular and oncology care affiliated with Duke Health, an occupational health center, the largest skilled nursing facility in the Carolinas, an Alzheimer’s care center and more than 65 physician practices. In March of 2019, Lexington Medical Center opened the largest hospital expansion in South Carolina history which included a 10-floor patient care tower, adding inpatient beds, additional operation rooms, and a special care nursery. In September of 2019, we opened our 4th cath lab and expanded our ambulatory clinic space by 15,000 sq ft.
