Owensboro Health/The University of Louisville, Department of Family/Geriatric Medicine is seeking one full-time core Family Medicine-OB physician to join our new Family Medicine Residency program located at Owensboro Kentucky. University rank will be determined based on applicant's previous qualifications.
Job responsibilities: Clinical Duties, Resident teaching and scholarly activities. The core faculty will have a significant role in the education and supervision of residents and will devote a significant portion of their entire effort to resident education and/or administration. The faculty will teach residents and care for patients in all settings. Administrative responsibilities will include evaluation and providing mentorship and formative feedback to residents.
General duty of all core faculty includes: Participation on the In-Patient Family Medicine Teaching Service at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital for our assigned patients; Supervise admissions, daily care & notes, teaching rounds, charges, etc.; Precept Family Medicine Clinic; Ensure quality care to their patients while teaching continuity family medicine; Personal practice in FMC and scholarly activities; Teach technical skills needed for comprehensive practice and procedures
Family Medicine with Maternity care in addition to above: Faculty with OB interest will join 1 other FM/OB physician as a role model for maternity care with the goal of educating residents to become competent in providing care for normal pregnancies. This faculty will have the opportunity to provide normal and surgical deliveries at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro, KY
Requirements: Board Certified or Board Eligible (with 5 years of training)
Preferred: faculty development fellowship, certification, or provided within scope of residency training program; or experience in lieu of certification
FM/OB; must have OB experience or completed OB fellowship
Compensation $250,000 - $275,000
Compensation based on academic rank; guaranteed base compensation, commencement bonus, student loan assistance, residency stipends, full health benefits; additional benefits
