Texas Health Physicians Group is a large multispecialty physician group recruiting for a colorectal physician. We are a wholly owned subsidiary of Texas Health Resources - the largest health care system in North Texas.


  • MD or DO candidates
  • Current Texas license
  • General Surgery residency completion required from an accredited ACGME program
  • Colorectal Surgery fellowship completion required from an accredited program
  • Board-certified candidates required with a minimum of 5-10 years of experience
  • Strong preference that experience includes work in graduate medical education
  • Looking for someone who wants to build a large practice
  • Must have an interest in helping to train general surgery residents starting in July of 2021. Long term ambition is to have a colorectal fellowship program

About the position:

  • This is an employed position by Texas Health Physicians Group.
  • Located on the campus of at Texas Health Fort Worth (THFW) – the biggest hospital in our system. THFW is a hub hospital with several small and medium hospitals sending referrals.
  • The candidate would be working with existing high caliber GI’s, general surgeons, hepatobiliary surgeons, Urologists and Ob/Gyns to build a world class GME program at our flagship hospital.
  • This is a ground floor opportunity and the candidate would be heavily involved in hiring additional colorectal surgeons as the program grows.
