The Methodist University Transplant Institute, in partnership with the University of Tennessee Health Science Center is actively seeking a Transplant Hepatologist (tenure or non-tenure track) to join our successful large volume clinical and research institute.  The Methodist/University of Tennessee Transplant Institute has been a leader in transplantation services since 1970 and is nationally recognized for excellence in research, innovation and patient care

  • The Institute team performs over  130 adult and pediatric liver transplants and 140 kidney transplants annually
  • The Institute is also involved in numerous clinical investigator-initiated projects 
  • The newly endowed Transplant Research Institute has been initiated to establish and implement basic science and translational research to complement the clinical endeavor
  • Transplant Hepatologists are University of Tennessee faculty with a clinical appointment within Transplant Institute at Methodist University Hospital
  • Weekend call schedules are shared with GI faculty and there are two dedicated fellows on liver service monthly
