Gynecologic Oncology Acute Care NP

The Gynecologic Oncology division at Banner University Medical Center/University of Arizona Cancer Center seeks an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive care in a collaborative environment.  The team has had very successful recent Physician Assistant and Surgical First Assistant hires and is now looking to round out the group with a multi-talented Nurse Practitioner with acute care training and certification.  There is a great deal of excitement around the addition of this position, and the hired would immediately feel welcome and valued.    The hired candidate would have many learning opportunities and the unique ability to develop a relationship with his/her patients.   

Position Details

  • Wednesday-Friday:  Ambulatory Clinic
    • Manage own minor acuity patient panel
    • See follow-up patients with established care plan by the attending Physician
    • See patients with higher level acuity diagnosis together with the attending Physician
    • Responsible for patient triage  during clinic hours
  • Saturday:  24-hour Inpatient Call
    • Unrestricted call - manage consults/transfers

Minimum Requirements 

  • ACNP
  • New grad NPs will only be considered if they have significant Gynecologic or Medical Oncology experience as an RN
