Family Medicine Physician - Academics Job with AdventHealth Heartland Medical Center in Sebring, FL

A great new opportunity is available  for a dynamic, hardworking and experienced Family Medicine physician in our  Family Medicine Residency program. Seeking an enthusiastic Family  Medicine physician to assist in a community-based 24 Resident Program (8-8-8), in Sebring, Florida.

Major responsibilities in collaboration with and under the direction of the Program Director

1. Maintain knowledge of and comply with sponsoring institution’s Graduate Medical Education (GME) policies and program specific accrediting body’s requirements and/or guidelines.
2. Participate in the meetings as Program Director, subcommittees, and review panels as requested.
3. Participate in the Program Clinical Competency Committee (CCC), and Program Evaluation Committee (PEC).
4. Develop and  continuously improve  curriculum as defined by the program specific’s accreditation body requirements.
5. Monitor resident/fellow supervision and document that the appropriate level of supervision is in place.
6. Monitor resident/fellow duty hours, work environment, and work intensity according to policies and in accordance with accrediting body requirements.
7. Adjust resident/fellow schedules as necessary to mitigate excessive service demand and/or fatigue.
8. Participate in the recruitment, selection, and orientation processes of residents/fellows.
9. Participate in the design and implementation of faculty development programs.
10. Develop, monitor and track key performance indicators of the program, such as, resident/fellow performance, faculty development, graduate performance, board certification results.
11. Committed to be responsible for resident/fellow well-being. 
12. Implement a process that ensures continuity of patient care with care transitions and when a resident/fellow may not be able to perform patient care duties.
