NORTON CHILDREN’S EYE CARE, AFFILIATED WITH THE UOFL SCHOOL OF MEDICINE, and a part of Norton Children’s Medical Group, is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible pediatric ophthalmologist. The selected candidate will function as part of a dynamic, growing team dedicated to meeting the needs of children through clinical care, medical education, research and advocacy. The current pediatric ophthalmology service covers a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center and neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at Norton Children’s Hospital as well as NICU coverage at University of Louisville Hospital and other regional hospital facilities. The practice is located in the Novak Center for Children’s Health in downtown Louisville.

Our new integrated entity, Norton Children’s Medical Group affiliated with the University of Louisville School of Medicine has, in two short years, recruited well over 100 providers, added four new accredited fellowships, increased outreach throughout our state, and increased NIH, industry sponsored grants, and registry and trial drug network funding through our collaborative research institute, Norton Children’s Research Institute (NCRI).

NOVAK CENTER    The 176,000-square-foot Novak Center for Children’s Health opened in 2018 and was designed to create a better way to deliver health care for the children of Kentucky and the surrounding region. Located in the heart of the UofL Health Sciences campus and close to Norton Children’s Hospital in downtown Louisville, the center is one of the largest and most technically advanced pediatric outpatient centers in the country. This center provides the resources and space necessary to offer an integrated health care model serving as a centralized location for Norton Children’s specialty clinical practices, lab and radiology services, medical education conference rooms, multidisciplinary spaces and more, all in one convenient outpatient care location for families.
