The Details…

The science and art of obesity treatment is rapidly advancing. Medicine is beginning to recognize obesity as a metabolic disease, not a person’s failing. Patients with obesity are too often blamed for their disease and at Bay Bariatrics (located at North Bend Medical Center), we’re looking for an individual with a passion to serve these marginalized individuals. Our vision is to expand our medical weight loss and wellness programs with an innovative approach. The person who fills this role will see a panel of patients with diabetes and obesity much like a primary care provider as well as be integrated into the surgery program. Based on the structure of our local medical community, we believe this role could be highly lucrative and bridge a much needed gap in the care of patients with obesity. We envision that the individual who fills this role will become a resource for weight loss and diabetes management in the community and help our patients achieve life changing weight loss. No blame. No shame.
