Genesis HealthCare System
Originally from the Seattle WA area, I graduated High School in 1993 and joined the United States Navy with a goal of traveling and seeing the world. After completing three six-month deployments to the Western Pacific and Indian Oceans in my first enlistment and visiting over 10 countries, I decided to make the Navy a long-term career. Following 22 years of service, in 2015 I ended my Navy adventure after visiting 30+ countries around the globe and working side-by-side some of our country's finest men and women in uniform. As the Chief Administrator and Department Head for the Navy's largest recruiting district covering the states of Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia, I know first-hand the challenges of finding that special quality in individuals that will help define the future of an organization.
After finishing my first career I went back to school full-time at Muskingum University in New Concord Ohio (home of Senator John H. Glenn Jr.) and obtained my undergraduate in Human Resources Management in 2017. The same year I began working for Genesis HealthCare System in Administration working with the Chief Operating Officer and President of the Medical Group to transform from an administratively led physicians group to a division of physicians led by a physician. Once off the ground and positive change began to take effect, I decided on an adjustment for myself and joined the recruitment team at Genesis.
The goal in my new role here at Genesis, is to find that right fit for the hospital and just as equally important, a solid fit for the Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers that help make our our healthcare system so successful within the community we serve. Our community needs and deserves the very best in quality patient care and access; we have a family of physicians and providers in all specialties who live that vision everyday here at Genesis. I want my efforts to lead to a partnership where our providers love coming to work and continue that positive change in community healthcare.
I reside locally in the Zanesville area with my wife of 17 years and two children, Riley (15) and Avery (11) who attend East Muskingum Schools.
